Internships:
The National SHPE Conference is the largest Hispanic
Technical Conference in the Nation, and takes place
once a year, attracting hundreds of employers from all
different industries who are looking to hire for
internships, co-ops, full-time positions, and also recruit
for graduate programs. Coupled with the online
database of openings on oneSHPE.org, SHPE provides
members with a variety of opportunities to gain work
experience
Build/Expand your Network:
SHPE offers members several events throughout
the year, which provide opportunities to meet and
connect with other SHPE members across the
country, from other students (undergrad and grad)
and professional members, to corporate leaders
and SHPE leaders; including mentoring from these
leaders.
Scholarships:
SHPE members qualify to apply for Undergraduate and
Graduate scholarship opportunities ranging from $1,000 to
$5,000 (pending eligibility criteria), in addition to applying for
scholarships to attend the SHPE National Conference and the
National Leadership (NILA) Conference.
Leadership Opportunities:
As a member of SHPE, you can become a leader
at the university (LSU) level, the Regional level,
and the National level. Joining the SHPE
network can be a great asset throughout your
academic and professional careers.
