Augmented Reality Projects:

Spaceframe Construction

Recent advances in computer interface design, combined with the ever increasing power and miniaturization of computer hardware, have enabled the creation of augmented reality testbeds for building construction, maintenance and renovation. As part of a program aimed at developing a variety of high-performance user interfaces, we have completed a demonstration testbed augmented reality system to improve the construction of a spaceframe. Our system ensures that workers install each piece of the spaceframe in the right place, in the proper sequence, without recourse to shop or erection drawings.
